Open to beginners and experienced practitioners alike, this workshop will explore connections between partners, and will cultivate a keen sensitivity to movement. Working primarily one-on-one, we will practice supporting each other’s structure, weight, and fluid movement, through carefully devised contact. Participants will develop strong partnering skills, which can be both fun and therapeutic; and will acquire methods for clear and sympathetic communication with others, which enhance our overall presence in the space.
Kyler Breed is a dancer, performer, and improviser, and earned his degree in Communications from NYU. He has since been inspired by yoga, contemporary dance, circus arts, ballet, martial arts, and other performance practices, and aims to build community around contact improvisation.
